District 35 Spring 2008 Convention Comes to a Close
District 35 Governor Jim Hughes, DTM, brought the fun-filled, educational-driven District 35 Spring Convention to a close Saturday, May 3rd at 10:10 PM at the Hotel mead in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. The very successful Convention was highlighted with an exceptional District 35 International Speech Contest having four fantastic speech presentations.

2nd Year International Director Dietmar Wagenknecht, DTM, installed the 2008-09 District Officers at the Saturday Evening Banquet, reminding current officers that they had 58 days and 3 hours to ensure District 35 would be Distinguished for the 2nd consecutive year.

District Governor-Elect Andy Little, DTM, built up a lot of excitement leading the group in a rousing chug-chug-chug-toot-toot-chug-chug to build the excitement for Distinguished District 35 and 2008-09.

Save November 7-8, 2008 on your calendars for the Fall 2008 District 35 Conference at the Midway Hotel in Brookfield, Wisconsin.

Tax Filing Reminder for All Clubs
The May 15th deadline for filing the 990-N Electronic Postcard is fast approaching!

To help with the filing process, Toastmasters International has put together a set of detailed instructions. Before beginning the filing, please print the instructions and read them carefully.

Note that some clubs will not be able to complete the process of filing the 990-N until after June 30th because the club's year end is not December 31st.

Step 2 of the detailed instructions explains what to do if this occurs.
